Higher Standards
Not all animal hospitals are accredited. Nearly 60% of pet owners think their pet’s veterinary hospital is accredited when it is not. In fact, only about 3,700 (12-15%) animal hospitals in the United States and Canada are accredited. At Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital, we hold ourselves to a higher standard, and promise that your pet is receiving care at a hospital that has passed the highest standards in veterinary care.
As the only organization that accredits veterinary hospitals in the US and Canada, AAHA sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. AAHA guidelines are professional recommendations that help veterinary teams continue to deliver quality veterinary care. AAHA guidelines cover everything from dentistry and senior care to nutrition and vaccines.

These people are wonderful! I am 3 weeks new to town, all by myself and my only friend up here became critically ill. They have been fabulous in taking care of my kitty and helping me understand her condition and reassuring me. Callie getting sick wasn’t the “Welcome to Fairbanks” I wanted but the staff here made me feel so welcome and comfortable and not alone!

They have taken care of my dogs for 12 years now and I would go no where else. When my dogs passed on, they were there and they show genuine care.

We could not have ever imagined the amount of love and outstanding care our dog has received from the Doctors and staff at Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital. Our dog suffered a severe leg break and she has had top care from everyone here. Her stay was very long and we missed her beyond measure at home. We were welcome to visit her every day and the staff always stopped by to let us know how loved our girl is. Thank you is simply not enough.

Mt. McKinley offers excellent veterinary care and has a high standard of patient care. Dr. Kuhn takes time to speak with us during each visit and promptly returns calls if we have follow-up questions. Vet Tech, Brenna, is thorough and kind when answering questions and explaining post-op care. Professional, courteous, clean, and well-laid out. I especially appreciate their waiting area with a few toys for my kids to use while waiting.

These folks have been our babies Dr’s since they were 5 weeks old. They are very caring and thorough. Each pet is priority. We love them. When we lost Opie all the staff felt the lose and was very caring.

My pets have received care for years. Dr. Chen is my go to for my cats. She is just amazing. The support staff work their tails off and take excellent care when my cats need to be taken to “the back” for things. The front staff are kind and helpful. I hope everyone treats the vets and staff well, they are there to help us with our pets!
